RULES AND INFORMATION FOR CITY OF MANCHESTER SCARECROW DECORATING CONTEST
1.) One scarecrow for judging per participant, scarecrow must be on form provided by the City of Manchester.
2.) Scarecrow must be un offensive and non-political.
3.) Scarecrow theme must be pertaining to your business or organization.
4.) Scarecrows decorations need to be able to withstand the outside environment.
5.) Categories for the contest are:
a.Government
b.Non-Profit
c.Schools
d.Businesses
e.Restaurants
f.Corporations
*Within these categories the judging will be on:
Most Colorful
Most Original
Funniest
Best Over All
6.) Scarecrow entries are to be dropped off at City Hall Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. If your scarecrow is going to be displayed at your business/organization (in the city limits) please call us at 606-598-3456 so we can bring your entry number and take a picture.
7.) Entry numbers will be provided by the City of Manchester.
8.) Deadline for scarecrow entry for judging will be on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2010 AT 12:00 P.M.
9.) Voting ends on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at “A Taste of Clay” at EKU Manchester.
*Voting for scarecrow(s) will begin on Friday, October 15th and go till Thursday, October 29th, votes can be placed at City Hall. The winner(s) will be announced at Boofest at the Governor’s Campground on Saturday, October 30th at 6 o’clock. Winners will be notified prior to announcement.
